The Miss Racine Organization

The Miss Racine Competition stands as one of the longest running local programs in the state of Wisconsin. The program can be traced back over 60 years! In the past 10 years, three Miss Wisconsins began their journey on the Miss Racine stage. The Miss Racine Competition has produced eight eventual Miss Wisconsins, two eventual Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen’s, and two eventual Miss Wisconsin USA’s. The Miss Racine competition is a local affiliate of the Miss America Organization, one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. 

The Miss America Opportunity

Miss America is the celebrity representative of Miss America Organization, which has a storied 100+ year history, and is an iconic brand that is ‘Made in America’. Each year, our Miss America is selected from the official State Delegates who represent each state organization along with the District of Columbia, currently 51 exceptional young women between 18-28 years of age.

The role of Miss America is an exciting, fun, challenging year of service that requires energy, positivity, professionalism and courtesy.  Miss America uses her term to inspire, promote, engage and represent woman across America and their respective ambitions, goals, dreams and visions of their futures.

Alyssa Bohm, Director


  Paula Kuiper Winiarski, Director

Alyssa Bohm is a native and still resides in Racine, WI. She graduated from J.I. Case High School and the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater with a degree in Education. Alyssa was a Special Education in Racine Unified for 5 years. She is now a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Alyssa has been involved in the Miss America Opportunity for over 10 years. She held four local titles within the Miss Wisconsin Organization including being Miss Racine 2015. In 2019 she won the coveted job of Miss Wisconsin and held the title for two years during COVID-19. Her platform was “Embracing Special Needs, Building Inclusive Communities” educating the public about inclusivity within the special needs community. Her passion for the Miss America Opportunity, Racine community and giving young women opportunities to achieve their goals and growing the Miss Racine Organization is inevitable.


Paula Kuiper Winiarski is a native and still resides in Racine, WI. She graduated from J.I. Case High School. She then pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in nursing and went on to get her Masters of Nursing from Marquette University. She is now a Nurse Practitioner and recently completed her Doctorate of Nursing at Marquette University. Paula has been involved in the Miss America Opportunity for over 10 years having held two local titles within the Miss Wisconsin Organization and won the job of Miss Wisconsin in 2013. Her platform focused on bridging generations and learning from the older generation. Paula owes the Miss America Opportunity for financially supporting her to complete her scholastic goals as she is a debt free college graduate with a doctorate. Paula is committed to the community of Racine and wants more girls to also achieve their scholastic goals through the Miss Racine Organization.
